Short answer
Jellyfin is free, open-source software for streaming your own files from your own server. EasyCine is a paid, white-label package of phone and TV apps, admin panel and Builder for a branded public service, from $1,999 one-time. Choose by purpose, not price.
The short version
Both value control. They differ on purpose.
Jellyfin is a free, open-source media server. You host it, add your files, and its official and community apps stream them to you and your users. Nobody charges you, and the code is open for anyone to study and change.
EasyCine is commercial source code for a public streaming business: branded phone and TV apps, an admin panel for catalogue, viewers and ads, and a Builder that sets it all up.

Jellyfin questions.
Is EasyCine open source?
No. EasyCine is sold as full source code under a commercial licence for one brand. You get all the code to change for your brand, but it isn't free or open-source software.
Can EasyCine connect to a Jellyfin server?
Not out of the box. EasyCine's catalogue comes from TMDB or your admin panel, and streams come from sources you add. Connecting to Jellyfin would be custom development.
Why not rebrand Jellyfin's apps instead?
You can, if you have developers. You'd handle the rebrand, store listings, ads and every future update yourself. EasyCine packages those parts for one licence fee.
Do I need my own server?
Not for Tracker mode, which runs on TMDB. Links and Panel mode need the admin panel on a web server, and the Builder can install it on Ubuntu or Debian over SSH.
Which one costs less?
Jellyfin is free software; you pay with your time and hardware. EasyCine costs from $1,999 once, with free updates through v6.x and 12 months of support.
