Plex is a media server and app service. You run Plex Media Server on a computer or NAS, it organises your files, and Plex apps stream them to you and the people you invite. Plex also offers its own ad-supported streaming.
EasyCine is source code for a public streaming business. Viewers install your branded app from Google Play, and you manage the catalogue, accounts and ads from your admin panel.

Is EasyCine a Plex alternative?
Only if you're building a public streaming app. For watching your own files at home and away, Plex is the better tool. EasyCine is for branded apps with an audience.
Can EasyCine play my Plex library?
Not directly. EasyCine doesn't connect to Plex servers. In Panel mode you add titles and the streaming links you're licensed to distribute in the admin panel.
Do I need to run a media server?
No. Links and Panel mode need the admin panel on a web server, which the Builder can install for you. Your video files are hosted wherever you choose.
Can viewers create their own accounts?
Yes, in Links and Panel mode. Viewers sign in with email or Google, and each account holds up to five profiles, including Kids profiles with a parental PIN.
Does EasyCine work on TVs?
Yes. The native Android TV app runs on Android TV and Google TV devices. It's in the Complete plan, or a TV add-on for Mobile owners.
