Free tool

App revenue calculator. Estimate ad earnings from your own numbers.

Enter daily users, ads per user and eCPM to estimate what full-screen and banner ads could earn. A planning tool, not a promise.

Short answer

Ad revenue is impressions ÷ 1,000 × eCPM. Enter daily users, full-screen and banner ads per user and the eCPM for each, and the calculator estimates earnings before costs and taxes. It is free, needs no sign-up and leaves out fill rate and subscriptions, so treat the result as a plan, not a promise.

The math

How the estimate works.

  1. 1Count daily impressionsDaily active users × ads per user per day, for full-screen ads and banners separately.
  2. 2Apply each eCPMeCPM is what you earn per 1,000 impressions. Impressions ÷ 1,000 × eCPM = daily revenue for each format.
  3. 3Scale it upMultiply the daily figure by 30 for a rough monthly number.

Worked example

10,000 daily users, step by step.

Four full-screen ads per user a day at a $3 eCPM, picked for illustration, not as a benchmark. Banners are left out.

Caveats

What the estimate leaves out.

  • Fill rate

Networks don't fill every ad request, so real impressions are often lower than the formula assumes.

  • eCPM swings

Rates vary widely by country, format, season and whether viewers allow personalised ads.

  • Mixed formats

Banners, full-screen ads and video earn differently. Use a blended eCPM or estimate each separately.

  • Costs and taxes

The estimate comes before hosting, video delivery, content rights and taxes.

  • Paid access

Subscriptions and rentals aren't included. EasyCine has no built-in billing for them.

  • Network approval

Ad networks review your app first and can limit or close accounts that break their policies.

With EasyCine

Earn more without driving viewers away.

Networks and frequency caps live in the admin panel and reach installed apps without an update.

  • Tune frequency caps

Set the seconds between full-screen ads, an ad every few screens and a per-session limit.

  • Delay the first ad

Hold full-screen ads for the first seconds after launch, so new viewers settle in.

  • Add VAST pre-roll

Play a video ad before playback on phone and Android TV with your network's VAST tag.

  • Compare ad networks

Switch between AdMob, AppLovin MAX, Unity Ads and Start.io, and keep what fills best.

  • Ask for consent

AdMob shows Google's consent form, so viewers in Europe and the UK can allow personalised ads.

  • Bring viewers back

Push campaigns, release reminders and Continue watching add sessions per user.

No guaranteed earnings.

This calculator gives a rough estimate for planning. Real earnings depend on your audience, your content rights and your ad network's approval and policies, and can be far lower.

Calculator questions.

How accurate is the estimate?

It's only as good as your inputs. The formula is simple, but fill rate, eCPM and daily users all move. Use it to compare scenarios, not to predict income.

What is eCPM?

Effective cost per mille: what you earn for every 1,000 ad impressions. Ad networks report it by format, country and day, so trust your own reports over averages found online.

What eCPM should I enter before launch?

There's no reliable single number. Try a low, a middle and a high value to see the spread, then replace them with real figures from your ad network once the app has traffic.

How many ads per user is too many?

There's no fixed rule, but heavy ads cut sessions and retention, which lowers revenue overall. Start light, then raise frequency caps slowly while you watch retention.

Does it include subscriptions?

No. It estimates ad revenue only. EasyCine has no built-in payments or subscription billing; if you add paid access yourself, estimate that income separately.

Does the Android TV app show ads?

Yes, VAST pre-roll video before playback. Banners and full-screen ads run on the phone app only.
